Java Engineer

What you’ll do

• Participate in development of a complex, multi-stream smart city solution

• Assist in moving of key components from an old code stack to a new platform

• Cooperate with a large offshore team, located in Budapest

• Facilitate communication with customer’s business representatives

What you have

• A degree in an associated field and/or other advanced certification along with significant experience

• Scala: Akka, Akka Streams

• Java: Spring Framework

• Databases: MySQL, Cassandra, Neo4J

• Messaging: Apache Kafka

• Experience working in AWS environment is a big plus: Lambda, S3, CloudFormation, Amazon API Gateway, Kinesis

• Experience troubleshooting production data pipelines

• Effective communication skills to work with the client and with EPAM's offshore engineering team to help resolve problems

• Be the extension of the larger engineering team in EPAM's Budapest office

• Tools:
